Karen Wray, Design Coordinator won numerous design awards for her 2006 Parade of Homes House. Her experience with condo remodels, new construction, and furniture choice and placement are a new in-house service we offer at Mountain Log Homes of Colorado through our INTERIORS program

IDEA BOOKS: Clients have access to photographs collected for over 10 years from Log Home Magazines, Manufacturers catalogs and Decorating books organized into convenient catalogs by category to help find the perfect look from Kitchen & Bath to Windows & Fireplaces with out the process getting overwhelming. Karen will work through each set of choices for your home and find the look you are after!

MANUFACTURER CATALOGS: Browse plumbing, lighting and cabinet design from the comfort of our office or your home before visiting the large warehouse showrooms.

SAMPLES: Our new design center has many samples to look at from flooring to window flashing. Our wholesale suppliers will custom make samples for your approval prior to ordering.

COLOR SELECTIONS: We can provide “story boards” for you with textures and colors that will compliment your home, views, lifestyle and furnishings.

FINISH CHOICES: Our design team will help direct you to a color pallet that works from paint and stain to flooring and countertops. We will create a spec book for your home with all your choices as you go to keep track of your decisions.

LIGHTING: Lighting a log home can be challenging due to lack of framed walls for wiring, loft style ceilings with log floor joists, and vaulted ceilings and log trusses that make a log home beautiful. We recommend a comprehensive lighting plan at the start of your project by a licensed lighting designer. We work directly with several we can recommend. SPACE PLANNING: We will work with you to find the right layout and placement of both your installed cabinetry and your furniture. We also work with several local kitchen designers who can help with the flow and layout of your kitchen and bathrooms.

WINDOW COVERINGS: We are an authorized dealer for Graber Window Treatments and DSC Custom Roman Shades. We can help dress your windows with everything from custom wood blinds, cellular shades, woven woods, fabric roman shades and more. FURNINSHING YOUR HOME: We can work with our wholesale showrooms at the Denver Merchandise Mart & Denver Design Center, on-line designer suppliers and special Contractor Pricing programs at local retailers like Mountain Comfort Furnishings to get you the best look for the best price. Talk to Karen about providing a budget and a design to make your new house a home. She will ask you questions about your taste, how you live, who uses the home, and more to determine the best furnishing materials and colors for you.
